New Hampton Is virtually in the geographic center of the State of New Hampshire at Exit 23 of Interstate 93, which intersects with NH Route 104. New Hampton is approximately 2 hours north of Boston, 45 minutes north of Manchester, 35 minutes north of Concord and 30 minutes south of Franconia Notch and the White Mountains. Route 104 accesses points east and west in the Lakes Region; east to Lake Winnipesaukee (15 minutes) and west to crystal-clear Newfound Lake (10 minutes). New Hampton also has several lakes within its boundaries: Jackson Pond, Lake Waukewan, Lake Winona, Pemigewasset Lake (public access), and Sky Pond (public access). The Pemigewasset River forms the west boundary of New Hampton with Hill, Bristol and Bridgewater, and the Ayer's Island electric generating facility is located in town as well. Also located in town is the New Hampton School, a college preparatory school for high-school age and post-graduate students.
